Whos your favorite pet?

This is an impossible question.

Do you think cats can be affectionate as dogs?

Do you think cats can be affectionate as dogs?

Yes, I do. Most cats just express affection differently than dogs do.

How much do you know about cats please ?

How much do you know about cats please ?

I know as much about cats as someone who has had them their whole life. I can probably answer a basic question or two but if you are dealing with a serious behavioral or medical problem please speak to a professional.

How did you get him? Whats his story?

Magnus?
My husband’s family raised dachshunds while he was growing up, so he’s always loved the breed and his roommates when we met have a long haired dachshund (they still have him, they’re just friends rather than roommates now) and I fell in love.
We decided that when we got married, we wanted to get a dog. We wanted to do the puppy route once we we would have had a dog for it’s entire life and any problems were our own screw ups. We also wanted to go in with an idea of what future health problems we should expect.
So we found a local breeder who obviously loves her dogs as pets first and was very open to showing us her space and creating a community of her dogs’ people and got on their waiting list.

(Pause to say that we have agreed that now that we’ve done the puppy thing once, our next dog is going to be an older rescue who needs us and that rescuing is amazing and that there is no need to yell at me about going through a breeder because I know people feel very strongly)

We waited for almost a year for our turn to come up and to be the right time for us (we were offered a few puppies but didn’t want to get one 3 weeks before our wedding because chaos)
And then one day, his mom had her puppies and I was instantly in love. I’d met his mom at their reunion picnic and we became best friends. She snuggled me almost all day and I love her. So when we were told we could have him, we had a rough time waiting those 2 months! But we did and brought him home and the Internet has seen him ever since!

He’s such a good boy and I love him so much. He rushes into everything 🙂

What a sweet little dachshund! My mom has a mini dachshund, and they're just the sweetest, most personable things. Magnus is so cute and I wish him a speedy recovery!

Thank you! He’s such a good boy and I can’t wait to have him home!

Do you except everybody submissions? Thank you…

Do you except everybody submissions? Thank you!

Check out fluffytherapy.tumblr.com/faq and fluffytherapy.tumblr.com/tags for more information on submissions, but generally, yes! As long as it’s an animal, that is. And fits within my few limited guidelines. I love seeing everyone’s animals!

What’s it like to take care of a bird? I’ve always wanted one 😊

The first thing I want to make clear about birds is that they are LOUD. Conures and other parrots in particular are very social and like to talk. Even if they can’t use words, they scream.
The day to day isn’t too high maintenance. You make sure they have food and water and toys and a clean cage and they mostly just bird. But most birds will also need some social time hanging it with you. Gabe likes to sit on my head or shoulder while I play games. Their little beaks are also surprisingly sharp and can hurt. When Gabe is grumpy, he’s been known to break skin.
Besides all that, they can be great companions. I love Gabe to death and can’t believe we have a bird who likes to snuggle!
